The Bears had two youth teams in semi-final action, on Sunday, at Adamstown.
The U13s took on The Emerging Jets in the first game. Unfortunately, for the lads it was a 4-2 loss in an exciting game.
Our U14s took on the strong FMNC and took it all the way to penalties in a 1-1 draw. Unfortunately, the roulette wheel that penalties are didn't favour our lads, this time, losing 4-2 in the shootout.
To both teams, congratulations on outstanding seasons. High standards were set, went after and achieved. Consistency with entertainment is rare but both teams have delivered this big time and we all could not be more proud of your efforts. You are a credit to yourselves and the famous black and white striped shirt you wear.
Next week your clubmates in the U19s have their grand final and they would really appreciate your support.
