Last year saw Weston do the double on the Eagles in two very different types of games. The first was a five goal thriller, won by the Bears 3-2, while the black and whites scored the only goal in round 18 to go into the semis with confidence. Both clubs have started the season a little slow with the home side finding enough last week at the death to defeat West Wallsend, curtesy of a Sean Matthews winner.

Weston have gone two games on the trot without maximum points but in saying that they were a tad bit unlucky not to get more out of last weeks game against Hamilton instead of a draw.Caretaker coach Steve Turnbull will be looking for more of the same from the side which in no uncertain terms ‘turned up' last Sunday and played with resolve and purpose.

Expect Nathan Morris to trouble the Eagles with his pinpoint free-kicks, which was a highlight in last seasons Jack McLaughlan visit.

Rhys Tippett will be again be looking hungry for more goals and he has been cleared to play after going off the field with severe cramping last week against Olympic.Taylor Reagan is still a 50/50 chance of taking the park for Edgeworth after being cleared of any fractures of his ankle. Shane Knight is in extreme doubt with a ham-string injury, while Sean Babic will take to the field after sitting out last week.

The Eagles will be looking at tightening up in the back after some sloppy defending late on against Westy. Conceding six goals in four games is hardly premiership winning stuff which is where all title tilts are built from.
