Who could blame him though? Although it wasn’t a great display throughout, the Bluebells had more than enough chances to make their oppositions early season go from bad to worse.

Being a young side we’ll forgive them this time, but Miner knows that early points shouldn’t be thrown away as some teams are still to find their feet.

West Wallsend played well in both last thirds of each half but need to put that into practice throughout.

Shannon Mangovski has been great at the back and don’t be surprised if he scores some goals through the season as he pushes up in attack. I still feel John Stojanovski is too detached from the midfield in their link ups with the quick and skilful striker. Not that it’s his fault, I think it my be the engine room that needs to push forward a tad more.

The Stags on the other hand are desperate for a win and will see this trip as a way of converting good play into good wins.

Captain/coach Troy Halpin has been looking slick in the middle but at times it feels though it’s all up to him and Ben Murrell.

Blake Holt has been impressive out wide and I’d love to see what he could do further infield but he has been giving the side the width that all teams should employ which isn’t easy to achieve. In late mail though, both Ben Murrell and Blake will miss this weekend due to injury.

A loss for Westy would undo the good start they’ve enjoyed so far, while Toronto need a win, more than the air they breathe. I have a feeling both clubs might meet halfway.
