Friday morning saw some of the Bears finest make the trip to the Allianz Stadium.

It was part of the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust offer of seats from the soon to be redeveloped stadium.

Massive thanks to Mark Lathan, Darren Rockley and Brock Lewsam for making the effort and time to battle the traffic and return home with the goods.

The seats are a welcome refresh for those in the grandstand which came from the re-development of Hunter Stadium and are part of a number of upgrades to the playing facility.

The Weston Workers Bears Football Club and greater football community are deeply saddened to hear of Kerr McLerie's passing.

Kerr joined Weston in the late 1960's with a host of other players from the UK and went on to help create football history while becoming loved and respected by all he came into contact with.

A member of Weston's 100 Club he won multiple titles with the Bears and was a wonderful coach and mentor to the young players at the club. A true gentleman.

To Gail, Donna, Steven and all in the McLerie and extended families we offer our most sincere condolences.
