1.1 Subject

Injury Policy

1.2 Purpose

Weston Bears FC is invested in the health and wellbeing of all members.

1.3 Principle

The process to be followed if there is an injury during training or game day:

  • Tell your coach/manager straight away.
     

  • Seek appropriate medical treatment.
     

  • In the event of an emergency, if 000 for an ambulance is to be called it shall be by the host club game day convener following consultation with the team Physio or First Aid Officer and parent (if under 18 years of age). Note: Physio (or Team manager in the event the Physio is not available) or First Aid Officer are to stay with the injured player until ambulance has arrived.
     

  • Contact club secretary for information on medical insurance within the club.
     

  • Manager to complete an Incident Report and submit to the committee within 24 hours.
     

  • In the event of medical treated injury, a medical clearance certificate is need prior to commencement of training or game play. The medical clearance certificate it to be given to your team manager. Team manager will send to admin@westonfc.com.au for club records.
     

  • Keep your coach/manager updated regularly with any medical updates.
     

  • Be responsible for your injury - follow all medical advice given to you.
