The Weston Workers Bears are delighted to confirm the sensational news that Kew Jaliens will be wearing a black and white striped shirt this year.
It takes time to comprehend what Kew has achieved in his career.
A Dutch international, Kew was selected to represent his country by Marco Van Basten.
Kew has competed at an Olympic games, the Champions League, Dutch, Polish and Australian leagues and…. the 2006 World Cup.
He has played with and against the best footballers in the world, marked Messi and been coached by legends of the game including Luis Van Gaal.
Kew spent 2017 gaining his coaching tickets and now holds a European ‘A’ License. His philosophy on developing players is very refreshing and in line with our changing approach to player development.
Both our Youth and Senior Technical Directors are and have been tapping into his knowledge with great effect. He has a nurturing presence around young players and a winning mentality for seniors and easily transcends age groups. The feedback from all ages & grades, coaches & players to Kew’s involvement and input has been phenomenal.
Weston FC is over the moon to have Kew involved at our club. He is the most decorated, high profile, humble player to be involved in football in our community.
For Kew to play at Weston in 2018 really is a coup for the club, testament to the ever improving NPL profile and real a treat for all football fans in the Hunter.
