The Under 17’s had a 2-0 win over Maitland to illustrate what could have been instead of missing the semi-finals by one point.
Weston’s 15’s beat Charlestown 5-2 with Michael Cherry scoring a hat-trick and Jacob Robinson a double. This side will finish second and face Nelson Bay in the major semi-final at Aberdare No. 2 at 10.45am.
The Under 13’s in their first year at the club also finished second after beating Morisset 2-0 on Saturday. Goal scorers were Joey Sinclair and Joshua Lewis to finish on a high note after the 14 rounds.
Their major semi-final will be played at Raymond Terrace on the No. 2 field at 11.30am.
Obviously, it would be good to see these sides capture some of the silverware but it is the continued development of these players which is paramount.
