Last week's game saw many chances squandered but Mick Ryan ensured this week would not be the same when he found the net after a goal mouth scramble in the 8th min to give the Bears a 1-0 lead.

Jamie Subat was finding space out wide and in the 19th min he played a great ball to Mick Ryan who once again found the net to lead 2-0.

The Bears were totally dominating the game and Jamie Subat would have extended the Bears lead in the 23rd min if not for a fantastic save from the Awaba keeper.

Mick Holt was pushing forward and was almost rewarded for his efforts in the 26th min but unfortunately for the Bears he pushed his shot wide of the goal.

To say the Bears were dominating would be an understatement and as a result they were starting to play a great style of football, but none was better than in the 34th min when some fantastic lead up work lead to a Nathan Morris rocket that stung the hands of the Awaba keeper from over 25mts out.

Nathan Morris played a great ball to Mick Ryan who found the net for his hattrick  in only the 37th min to give the Bears a comfortable 3-0 lead.

Nathan Morris hit one of his trademark rocket free kicks 2 mins later but instead of finding the net, his swerving and dipping rocket of a shot hit the underside of the crossbar and bounced back into the field of play.

Awaba capitalised on some poor defence and scored 2 quick goals against the run of play in the 42nd and 45th mins and go to the break at 3-2.

Robbie Turnbull had a great opportunity in the 53rd min but his shot sailed high over the bar and only troubled the supporters in the Members Stand instead of the Awaba keeper.

Jamie Subat  in the 56th min made a great run followed by an even better shot that forced a save from the Awaba keeper. The parried save fell to the feet of the man of the moment Mick Ryan, who did something that hasn't been done for many years by a Bears player. He scored his 4th goal of the game to give the Bears a 4-2 lead.

The 59th min saw Matt Toohey make a great run before cutting back inside to fire a shot and force a rebounded save from the keeper but Toohey's reflex shot was just wide.

Nathan Morris floated a great free kick into the Awaba box that found Rhys Tippett who headed into the side netting.

Tippet made no mistake in the 75th min after he made a great run followed by a great finish to extend the Bears lead to 5-2.

Robbie Turnbull could have joined the Tippett and Ryan on the scorers list in the 85th min when he failed to get a touch on a great Tippett ball that beat everybody and rolled harmlessly past the open Awaba goal.

Rhys Tippett made the most of his time on the pitch after coming on as a sub mid way through the 2nd half and he found the net again to give himself a brace and the Bears a fantastic 6-2 win with only seconds left on the clock.

The U/23's continued their fantastic start to the season with a strong 4-1 win. Luke Campbell bagged a double while Cal Penglaze scored a long range goal and Max Wallington fired home from a narrow angle to round out the scoring.

U/18's bounced back in the best possible way with a 4-1 win. Scorers were Jake Barner, Hayden Nichol, Tim Gleeson along with an own goal.

To win all 3 grades is a great effort and will only build confidence for next Saturday's game which is also at home against Broadmeadow Magic.
