It wasn't long after this that Weston seized the lead through the head of the Jamie Subat.

Weston were now in the ascendancy and began to dominate possession creating a number of opportunities.

jsMick Holt was again putting in a big shift in the middle and may have been on the score sheet again unleashing a thunderbolt shot that cannoned into a Southy defender and away to safety.
Good work from Mick Ryan released Corey Fletcher who's shot went just wide.
Southy however were posing problems on the counter and butchered a fantastic opportunity to level the scores but a poor finish saw the shot go wide.

The second half began as the first and Weston again continued to press for their second. As the half continued Southy lifted the intensity and began asking the Bears defence a few more questions and on a couple of occasions went close. With the Bears demonstrating strong resilience in defence, marshalled by Pratt and Cousins, composure & energy in the midfield and non stop effort up front Weston saw out the game 1-0.

The U/23s poor run continued going down 0 - 4. The U/18s also went down, losing 1 - 2, in a game that also provided a lot of positives for the young Bears.

It is also the Clubs pleasure to announce that Graham Kaiser will be the U/23s coach for next season. Graham has been at Weston for many years and has a wealth of experience to draw upon and share.
Congratulations Graham!

C'mon You Bears!!!
