The Weston Bears are proud announce that one of our very own NPL youth players Baden Mehrton has been selected to represent Australia in the 2020 First Nations Team to participate in the Clash of Cultures Trans Tasman cup against the New Zealand Maoris.
Baden's selection comes after showing his ability to play as a very consistent team player and natural leader at the National Indigenous Football Championships in Nowra last month.
Hard work and determination pays off.
Congratulations Baden, we wish you and your team all the best in January.
The Weston Workers Bears Football Club held their 2019 presentation night for youth and senior grades on Saturday night.
Superbly hosted by Tony Bidstrup, the evening recognised player and volunteer contributions throughout the season.
Congratulations to all the award winners and thank you, everyone, for your efforts and support in 2019.
