The Bears official pre-season kicked off yesterday a the Hydro Fields. After a couple of informal sessions the serious business of season 2010 is now under way.
The Club will be holding a working bee to put some finishing touches
on the ground before the season starts. If you're a player, parent or
supporter we'd really appreciate it if you could come along & help out.
The working bee will be held on:
Sunday, February 7, 8:00am at Thomas & Coffey
~ sausage sizzle afterwards ~
C'MON YOU BEARS
Pre season preparations continue with work continuing on and off the ground.
Aerated, fertilised and now top dressed the training ground is looking good. The main ground is also receiving much TLC with similar treatment.
It is also being rabbit proofed which should have a huge impact upon the surface. A huge thank you to all who have contributed.
The honour boards and team photos are in the process of being placed back on the walls in the Weston Workers Club in an area where all the Bears and visting players and officials can mix after each home game.
A light training run for the senior squad brought a great turnout and sets up the official pre-season start on February 1 nicely.
Overall, it's been a busy off season and there will definately be more to report on in the following weeks as the Club continues to prepare for season 2010.
C'MON YOU BEARS
