Jamie Subat to be a Bear again in 2010

Following on from Darren Elkin's signing as Assistant Coach, the Weston Workers Bears are very pleased to confirm that Jamie Subat will be joining the Bears in 2010. Jamie, of course, knows Weston well having played with the Bears up until 2005. Since then he has played NBN league with Toronto and South Cardiff. Welcome back Jamie - we all look forward to seeing you back in the black and white.

Mixed results for the young Bears from their preliminary finals today.

The U/15s disappointingly went out of their competition losing 4-3 against Maitland after leading 3-0 at half time. Despite the result congratulations on making it to the pointy end of the season lads.

The U/13s however, defeated Valentine Pheonix 2-0. The young Bears took a 1-0 lead to the half time break via a Joey Sinclair goal. Joey struck again in the second half of a game that the Bears thoroughly deserved to win. This is the players first year at Weston and the Club congratulates you all on you fantastic efforts this year.

The U/13s will now compete in the Grand Final - details are:
