swiftsWeston Swifts have made their own piece of history by qualifying in both grades for this Saturdays ID3 Grand Finals. In a huge bonus for the Coalfields and locals both matches will be played at the home of the Weston Workers Bears - Thomas & Coffey Park. 
Thomas & Coffey park became available mid week and final at the facility will be a huge boost for the Swifts as they take on the Tenambit Sharks in both grades. Read more: Weston Swifts - Both grades in Grand Final

The Bears U13s 'A Grade' side went down 2-0 against Broadmeadow Magic yesterday played at Adamstown Oval in warm conditions.

Michael Cain presents the Claw with his Mascot of The Year award

 

 

 

Mascot Of The Year- Weston mascot, Claw, has been hiding for most of the season but made a triumphant return in the Bears last home match of the season. Sure it was hot that day and he was a bit woofy on the nose but didn’t the kids love him.

The Bears extend their congratulations to Nadia Nisbet who recently represented the NSW PSSA team in the National Football Championships in Adelaide - Silver medalists. Although Nadia doesn't live in the area she is often seen at Bears games and coaching clinics. Her favourite players are Rhys Tippett, Jason Cowburn, Robbie Turnbull and of course............Mick Ryan.
