Thanks to the Cessnock City Council 'Dollar4Dollar' grants scheme work has begun on the training ground behind the main field to provide a quality / safe training environment.

The Weston Workers Bears have bolstered their ranks further with the signing of experienced defender Greg Anderson.
Greg played for Hamilton Olympic for several years, winning a premiership and featuring in a grand final. Previous to that he was with South Cardiff.

The Weston Workers Bears Football Club are very pleased to welcome and announce that Ian Brogan is the coach of the Bears U19 squad for 2016.
Ian, most recently, was joint Head Coach of the Valentine Phoenix promotion winning team last season.
Ian's coaching experience is extensive and other positions of note include; head Coach roles at Kanwal Warnervale FC, Toukley Gorokan FC and Central Coast Lightning U20s. He also was involved with the running of The Centre of Excellence and Academy program at Pluim Park on the Central Coast. All this is on top of a playing career that took in; Macarthur Rams, Penrith Association & Central Coast.
