The Bears travelled to Wanderers Oval to take on Broadmeadow. Weston were looking to keep their season alive and Broadmeadow were coming of 2 losses so both teams had plenty to play for.
In a tight first half both teams went to the sheds at 0-0. The scoreline stayed the same until the 58th minute when Mick Ryan netted for the Bears. The lead was short lived with Broadmeadow equalising shortly after in the 59th minute!
1-1 was how the game ended and share of the points.
U23s went down 2-1in another improved performance with a number of younger players really stepping up and Sam Turnbull scoring.
The U19s had a tough day at the office going down 2-1. Luke Campbell netting for the the Bears.
Weston's U17s form run continued statring the day off with a 3-1 win via goals form Patrick Wand, Sam Richardson(pen) & Lachlan Nichol.
3 of the Bears junior teams were in action today.
The U14s suffered a hic-up going down to Charlestown 0-5.
Our Metro League U15s had a 1-0 win against Macquarie Football with Bradley Millar netting for the Bears.
The Bears U16s got the result they were after with a 1-0 victory via a Lachlan Doyle goal.

Congratualtions to Carl Thornton who has been named in the NBN select team that will play the Newcastle Jets on Wednesday 18th July and Wednesday 8th August.

Liam Hardy and James Richardson from the Bears U16s squad have shown they have more than one string to their bow being selected in the NSW Country U16s Water Polo team that will compete at the 2012 Pan Pacific Youth Water Polo Festival in New Zealand.
What a fantastic achievement - well done lads!
