Weston welcomed the Jets youth to Rockwell Automation Park for the only Northern NSW NPL game to go ahead in round 4.
A huge doff of the cap goes to groundsman, Neil Fellows, for putting on a superb playing surface especially in light of recent weather - cheers mate.
The U19s were first on the paddock and in the end shared the points with the Jets in a 2-2 draw.
Weston's U22s were next and it was always going to be a tough day going to oranges at 0-3. A better 2nd half wasn't enough and the Jet ran out 1-5 winners.
1st grade kicked of in deteriorating conditions and this was reflected in the game which saw both teams working hard but going to the sheds at 0-0. The second half was similar until the 54th minute when the Jets found the net. The game continued to scrap on into the final minutes when Jamie Subat had a great chance in the dying minutes of the game but hit his shot straight at the keeper.
In the end the weather reflected the day for the Bears who will look to next weeks derby game, away to Maitland, to return to the winners circle.
C'mon you Bears!!!!
Many happy returns to Bears new boy, Paul Clout, on his 18th birthday.
Welcome to the Club mate - we are all looking forward to seeing you make your debut in the black and white.

Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) PS4 National Premier Leagues (NPL) club Weston Workers Bears FC were presented with their Certificates of Achievement for Level 1 and 2 Football Federation Australia (FFA) National Club Accreditation on Sunday, 19th April at the club's home ground, Rockwell Automation Park.
NNSWF Senior Club and Referee Development Officer Gary Fisher presented the club with both Level 1 and 2 Certificates of Achievement.
In receiving this recognition, Weston Workers becomes one of 30 clubs in NNSWF to achieve Level 1 status and one of just a handful of clubs in Australia to attain Level 2 recognition.

'By gaining a Level 2 Accreditation, Weston Workers FC has taken yet another step towards achieving best practice in the criteria areas and identified the need to continuously improve and provide the best environment for their players and members,' NNSWF Senior Club and Referee Development Officer Gary Fisher said.
'As a result, Weston Workers FC has put itself in a better position to retain and recruit players, attract sponsors and attract volunteers,' Fisher concluded.
