The Bears celebrated a fantastic season in style at a packed Weston Workers Club. The evening featured award presentations from the U13s to seniors, video presentations, a great MC and slide shows that made it a great night for the crowd of 300.
On behalf of the Weston Workers Bears the committee would like to thank and congratulate everyone involved this year. From the outstanding achievements on the park to the continual hard work off it and the support of our families, wives, girlfriends, partners and our valued sponsors - thank you everyone.

C'MON YOU BEARS!

Premiers_challengeThe Weston Workers Bears and Sunshine Coast FC played out a 1-1 draw in the first Premiers Challenge in Brisbane. The Bears went behind in the 6th minute after Shaun Blackman converted for the Sunshine Coast. The Bears returned fire in the 47th min when Carl Thornton was felled in the box on a mazy run. Carl Then stepped up to convert the penalty. The Bears also had a strong call for a penalty turned down with Mick Ryan fouled in the box but the game ended 1-1 with both teams named joint winners.
It brings a fantastic season to an end that saw the Bears become State League Premiers, make 2 grand finals - hosting one of them - and taking on fellow league champions, QLDs, Sunshine Coast FC.

Well done lads - fantastic effort.

See you all on presentation night
&
C'MON YOU BEARS!!!

The club extends its congratulations to Michael Boogaard who was named 'Coach of the Year' at the NNSW Football awards. While on stage Michael was also presented with the State League Premiership trophy.
