The Weston Bears U13s played their Grand Final today against Hamilton Olympic.
In an epic match that saw Weston trailing 1-0 through the first half it was Dale Lantry who pulled one back for the Bears just before half time. It was then the Bears turn to lead with Jayden Hinds putting Weston in front. The tide turned again as Hamilton scored an equaliser to make it 2-2 and make it game on. The Bears did have a penalty awarded to them towards the end of normal time but did not convert.
With the game going into extra time it was Hamilton who went on to win 4-2.
Hold your heads high boys - you have done everyone at the Club proud and displayed that 'never say die' attitude the Bears are famous for... and remember - next time!
Congratulations on a fabulous year and see you tomorrow!
C'MON YOU BEARS!!!
On Grand Final day show our support for the Bears by wearing black and white.
Wear Weston shirts, tracksuits, flags, hats, wigs, scarves, hair spay, beanies, ties, streamers, headbands, suits, inflatable fingers etc etc ...
Add to that... drums, horns, your friends, family, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, distant relatives, complete strangers to create a heap of noise!
Lets don the black and white and cheer the boys on!
C'MON YOU BEARS!!!
