The final round of the NBN State League saw the top of the table Bears host 2nd place Edgeworth Eagles in a match that would decide the Premiership.
A large and vocal crowd were on hand to support the Bears and they almost had a goal to celebrate in the 9th min when Mick Ryan ran onto a monster ball from Bears keeper Tim Pratt. Ryan lost his footing while challenging for the ball and the defence cleared to safety.
