The Bears took on Valentine Phoenix in the 2nd leg of the State League Semi Final series at Thomas and Coffey Park for a Grand Final Berth against Edgeworth Eagles. Edgeworth won through to the decider with a 1-0 aggregate victory over Hamilton Olympic.

These boys, led by Tony Camps, have really taken to the Bears and are often seen on senior game days supporting their older Club mates in the youth, U23 and 1st grades. Well done Lads!
Today also saw the 15's season come to a close going down 5 - 0 to Broadmeadow Magic.
The U/13 will now play Hamilton Olympic in the Grand Final.

Two of Weston's junior teams, U/13s & U/5s, are in action again this weekend.
The U/13s play against Charlestown Blues on Saturday at 10:00am, Myer Park, Adamstown. The winner will then go on to meet Hamilton in the Grand Final.
The U/15s have been reinstated to the competition due to a technicality involving Lakes. The young Bears will now meet Broadmeadow on Saturday at 11.30am, Heaton Park, Jesmond for their chance to progess to the Grand Final.

The Bears last week did what was required of them and won the 2010 NBN State League and in doing so, they earnt the right to play the 4th place Valentine Phoenix in the 2 legged Semi Final for a birth in the Grand Final. The 1st leg was played at the home of the Phoenix, Cahill Oval Belmont. Although the Bears were playing away from home they still enjoyed strong support from their supporters who outnumbered those of the home side.
