In brilliant conditions Weston resumed their league campaign taking on South Cardiff at Thomas & Coffey Park.

 


There was some shuffling of the pack that saw Joel Page and Corey Fletcher come into the line up for their 1st grade starting debuts for 2010.

The first quarter of an hour saw both sides sizing each other up and it was Southy who threatened first with a snap shot that rattled the post.

In front of a fantastic crowd the Bears were so near but so far.

Finishing 1-1 at full time courtesy of a goal from Mick Holt and a penalty save from Tim Pratt it was the roulette that is penalty shootouts that halted Weston. 

The Club would like to congratulate all the players on their efforts throughout this midweek competition and NNSW Football for the initiative. We also send out a special thank you to everyone who came and supported on such a cold night -  It is this support that makes our Club so special.
