The Bears had two youth teams in semi-final action, on Sunday, at Adamstown.
The U13s took on The Emerging Jets in the first game. Unfortunately, for the lads it was a 4-2 loss in an exciting game.
Our U14s took on the strong FMNC and took it all the way to penalties in a 1-1 draw. Unfortunately, the roulette wheel that penalties are didn't favour our lads, this time, losing 4-2 in the shootout.
To both teams, congratulations on outstanding seasons. High standards were set, went after and achieved. Consistency with entertainment is rare but both teams have delivered this big time and we all could not be more proud of your efforts. You are a credit to yourselves and the famous black and white striped shirt you wear.
Next week your clubmates in the U19s have their grand final and they would really appreciate your support.

The Bears U19s and U22s have played the 2nd leg of their semi-finals at Edgeworth.
The U19s took a narrow 1-0 lead into this game and in another tightly contested game drew with the Emerging Jets 1-1. This was enough to take the tie 2-1 on aggregate and book their place in the Grand Final.
Superb effort guys in what has been a wonderful year. Enjoy the build up!
Our U22s had a 2 goal buffer in their 2nd leg against Magic but just couldn't hold out as Magic turned the tables and won the game 3-0 giving them a 3-2 aggregate win.
Unlucky to our lads, they really showed their worth through the season and can hold their heads high on being so close to making the big game. Well done.
So, it's on to Magic Park Broadmeadow next Sunday for the U19s Grand Final at 10:30am.
We will let you know all further details through the week and obviously we are looking to paint the place black and white.

Warners Bay 1 (Sass Seaborn) defeated Wallsend 0 at Rockwell Automation Park, Weston. Half-time: Warners Bay led 1-0.
Warners Bay completed a remarkable turnaround in Herald Women's Premier League to go from last year's wooden spooners to this year's champions when they downed Wallsend 1-0 in the Grand Final at Weston yesterday.
Warners Bay struggled with depth and personnel in their maiden WPL season last year and collected the wooden spoon despite playing some good football in the latter stages of 2015 under stand-in coach Leon Davis.
Davis stayed on board for 2016 and assembled a team which included several players from last year's side in the likes of Grand Final hero Sass Seaborn, Airlie Davis and the Smith twins, Tayla and Maddie.....

The young Bears were at home for their final round of the NPL youth competition and took on Charlestown.
Congratulations to all involved with these terrific young men who have given their best wearing the black and white stripes over a long season and made everyone proud.
With a number of youth and senior teams in the semi finals lets look to get right behind our clubmates over the next few weeks.
