On a brilliant day for football Weston welcomed Broadmeadow to Rockwell Automation Park.
Games for each grade were huge and with plenty on the line they did not disappoint in terms of entertainment.
The U19s had to get a result this week after slipping from their high standards in previous weeks. A super 2-1 win was the response that takes them back to the top of the ladder with it still all to play for.
Weston's U22s have been up and down and unfortunately this week were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline.
First grade was going to be a cracker and did not disappoint. Both teams needed a result and had previously played out one of the games of the season in round 1. In a lively first half both sides had opportunities to take the lead but super defending and spurned chances kept the scores locked 0-0 at oranges.
The second half was played at a similar tone but it was Magic who breached the Bears defence midway through the second half. Broadmeadow were able to hold on till the final whistle leapfroging Weston into 4th.
Next week Weston travel to Edgeworth in a must win game in both 19s & 1st grade. Get behind the lads and ....
C'mon you Bears!!!!
The Bears youth were at home this Saturday welcoming the Emerging Jets program to Rockwell Automation Park in the final round of the regular season.

C'mon you Bears!!!
The Bears are delighted to announce our 2016 NPL Youth coaching appointments.

U17 - Steve Snedden
This is a super coaching team and we are all looking forward to an exciting 2016.
Weston were on the road travelling to Darling Street Oval to face an always tough Hamilton Olympic.
The under 19s have hit a speed hump over the past few weeks and were looking to turn the switch back to winning ways. Unfortunately it wasn't today and they went down 2-1.
The U22s were also given a touch up going down 4-1 against the second placed Olympic.
The day didn't get any better in 1st grade. Olympic put 7 past the Jets last week and by the 25th minute were up 3-0. Weston certainly weren't helping their cause with some uncharacteristic defending but did create chances of their own and if taken would have kept them in the game.
Olympic then scored twice after half time to put the game to bed by the 75th minute. Garry McDermott claimed a consolation goal for the Bears shortly after in a game that the Bears really didn't give themselves a chance in.
With that out of the system, Weston welcome Broadmeadow to Rockwell Automation Park next week in a game that is extremely important to the semi final claims of both teams.
