So head down next week and see two grand old Clubs continue to build their histories... and remember...

C'mon You Bears!!!

With the U19s & U22s called off due to the sodden surface the 1st grade fixture was brought forward to 8:30pm.

SEN CEMissing a number of players and feeling the effects of a heavy schedule Weston started the game well and for the first 15 minutes both teams looked to settle. Pass completion and possession was proving to be an issue and it was Edgeworth who started to take control of the game. Edgy brought out a number of good saves from Tim Pratt and also found the woodwork twice. They were rewarded in the last 5 minutes of the first half when they headed home from a cross to take a 1-0 lead to the sheds.

Weston came out brighter in the second half with Connor Evans working very hard to create. If the heavy schedule, even heavier ground and a tough opponent wasn't enough the Bears were reduced to 10 men around the 60th minute mark when Mick Ryan was shown a straight red for a sliding challenge. Edgy looked to press home their numerical advantage with Weston, potentially, in danger of being over run. To the Bears credit this didn't eventuate and while the Eagles added a second goal, the 10 men Bears were also finding space and opportunities of their own. However, on this night it just wasn't to be and Edgy ran out deserved winners.

Round 6 will see the Bears welcome Adamstown Rosebud back to Rockwell Automation Park and continue their positive start to the season.

C'Mon You Bears!!!
