C'mon You Bears!!!
The Bears officially launched their 2014 season on Friday night at the Weston Workers Club. In a jam packed auditorium all teams were presented with their playing shirts for the year.
Jets player Scott Neville was a hit with the big crowd and was interviewed by the evenings MC, Barry Toohey.
A real highlight of the night was the naming of 5 new Honorary Members. Each of these people have contributed hugely to the Weston Workers Bears both on and off the field over many years and are very worthy recipients of this honour. Congratulations from all of us are extended to:
- Nathan Morris
- Robbie Turnbull
- Mick Ryan
- Peter Tully
- Mark Forster
It must also be said how fantastic the attendance rate was for players with almost 100% across all grades and all in their Club dress uniforms - Well done to everyone.
All the very best to all our players, coaches, officials and supporters in this, our 107th season & 50th consecutive year of State League football.
C'mon you Bears!!!
