The Weston Workers Bears extends its deepest sympathies to the immediate and extended Whyburn family on the passing of Barbara Whyburn. Barbara was the mother of Honary Member and long serving Club supporter, Bruce Whyburn. From all of us Bruce, we are so sorry to hear of your loss and if there is anything we can do please let us know.
The Bears saw action across a number of competitions and trials today.
1st grade played their 2nd round State Cup tie against Valentine. After taking a 1-1 scoreline to the sheds at half time Weston put the foot down in the second half to win 5-1.
Bulging the net for the Bears were Jason Cowburn (2), Micky Ryan, Brock Oakley and Jamie Subat.
NPL Youth traveled to take on Hamilton in what is always a tough fixture.
