The Bears, along with terrible windy weather welcomed Hamilton Olympic to Thomas and Coffey Park for the round 18 fixture. Olympic are in 4th spot and 4 points behind with a game in hand so it was imperative that the Bears win or risk letting the competition lead slip. Confidence was high to continue what is an impressive record over Olympic this season with the Bears taking out the honours in all of the 3 meetings. 3-0 twice and also a 6-0 flogging in the Solo State Cup.

Jamie Subat was first to have a crack at goal when he let rip with a strong shot that flew over the bar in the 15th min. Subat got plenty on his shot but 9 minutes later an Olympic attacker was left wishing he got more on his, when he saw his effort roll past the post and out for a goal kick from close range.
