WB futsalIt was great to see a Weston connection at the Australian Futsal Nationals held at the Hawkesbury Indoor Centre Windsor. U15s players Caleb Hill and Jake Brownlow (left), competing for NNSW Futsal, spotted the Bears President taking in some games and made sure they said hi.

It was very much appreciated and saw the Prez take in the boys game in the afternoon.

We also hear that strutting his stuff over at the Penrith Indoor Centre, in the U13s competition, is U13s Bear and 'pocket rocket' Corey Holloway.

Congratulations lads -  It's a big week, especially in the heat, but well worth it and....

C'mon you Bears!!!

In-Service

The commitment and eagerness of the coaches was again on display on Monday night when they attended an in-service organised by Club Technical Director, Gary Wand.
The session drew heavily from the experience in the room and saw great discussion re 'coaching and young people' that stretched beyond 2 hours.

Speaking of busy, Gary Wand was recently involved at at 'C' Licence course where he was an observer / mentor to the participants and passing on his experience.

All up, it's been a busy final third of the year but a very productive one and, again, well done to everyone!

The Bears academy continues through November and saw the boys strutting their stuff during gameplay at Rockwell Automation Park under the close eye of Head Coach Steve Piggott.

A huge thumbs up to the Bears ground staff for preparing the ground so superbly for the lads.
wb academy

The Bears academy continues when the U13s, U14s, U15s & U17s visit Hunter Stadium to take in the Jets game against Perth.

While supporting the Jets is a given, the young Bears will also be looking at the game from a number of different perspectives that will be related back to and emphasised for the duration of the academy.

Enjoy the day boys - take it all in and....…

C'mon you Bears!!!
