The Bears travelled to Ulinga oval for the round 14 match against South Cardiff. The match was an important one for the competition leading Bears as the nearest 4 sides on the ladder all played each other, so a win could see them put a gap between themselves and the chasing pack. The side enjoyed plenty of support with a large number of Bears supporters travelling to what is the most spectator unfriendly ground in the State League.
