The Bears travelled to Broadmeadow Magic's Wanderers Oval for round 10 of the NBN State League in a match where a win would see the Bears jump to top of the league, as all other State League games were postponed due to the recent bad weather.
Jamie Subat was straight into the thick of things and in the 5th min he fought hard to win the ball wide on the left before shrugging off his defender and placing a pin point ball for Rob Macbeth in front of the Magic's goal. Macbeth looked to have put the ball goal bound but his glanced shot rolled past the far post and out for a goal kick.
