OUTPLAYED and with heavy legs from three games in a week on soft pitches, Weston had no right to take anything from their Northern NSW State League clash with  a slick Edgeworth outfit yesterday.

The Bears welcomed old foes Edgeworth to Rockwell Automation Park for Round 10 of the NBN State League.

The U17s kicked of the day looking to continue their great run of form. Leading 1-0 with 15 to go they conceded a late equaliser and shared the points.

Westons U19s continued their climb with an impressive 1-0 victory.

The U23s tough time continued in a 0-2 loss but this young squad will no doubt be learning lots.

First Grade were looking to top the competition while the Eagles were looking to peg the bears back so there was plenty up for grabs.

It was Edgy who started with all the running and posession against a tired looking Bears. Their pressure was rewarded when they took the lead in the 18th minute.
This remained the score at the half time break with Weston greatful for the whistle.

It wasn't long after half time before Edgy doubled their advantage via a dipping free kick and it looked a long way back for the black and whites.

However, if there is one thing the Bears have built their history on, it is reslience and a never say die attitude - so when Nathan Morris, found himslef over a free kick with 15 minutes to go, he delivered a 'special' into the bottom right hand corner to peg one back.
Two minutes later Nathan again found himself at a set piece. This time his pinpoint delivery found the head of Mick Ryan who powerfully headed the equaliser.

It was now squeeky bum time for everyone until the final whistle and a share of the points.

It was a fantastic comeback for the Bears and typical of the spirit in the current senior squad and no doubt they would have had the tune to the great escape playing in their heads.

Well done everyone and...

C'mon you Bears!!!
